The track mechanic services include physical and operative track work, including all related work as regards maintenance and execution in accordance with historical principles. In addition the service includes responsibility for unskilled workers. There will be a large degree of physical presence required in the given season (1 April - 1 November).

The Setesdal Railway's track mechanic has retired and we must therefore collect tenders for the track mechanic service. The estimated need will be approx. 500 to 1000 hours in the season from 1 April to 1 November, with an average of 750 hours a year, even though the scope and complexity can vary somewhat in each season's work operations.
