Natura 2000 management plan bird sanctuary "Baar"

Preparation of a Natura 2000 management plan for the 37,672 ha bird sanctuary "Baar" in the districts Schwarzwald-Baar-Kreis, Rottweil, Tuttlingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald including avifaunistic surveys.

The award is for the preparation of a Natura 2000 management plan for the 37,672 ha bird sanctuary "Baar" in the districts of Schwarzwald-Baar-Kreis, Rottweil, Tuttlingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, including avifaunistic surveys.

The services include:

- evaluation of existing documents

- Collection and assessment of all bird species occurring in the area and within the planner's responsibility of the bird protection directive

- Processing of possible conflicting objectives, in particular with regard to the overlapping FFH areas (7916-311 Baar, Eschach and Southeast Black Forest, 8017-341 Northern Baaralb and Danube near Immendingen, 8115-342 Löffinger Muschelkalkhochland) as well as the large-scale nature conservation project Baar

- Site-specific formulation of development goals for the aforementioned bird species of the Birds Directive

- Site-specific formulation of conservation and development measures for the aforementioned bird species of the Birds Directive, taking into account the trade-offs

- Incorporation of the data and plans for the bird species, which were processed within the framework of the forest module and the species protection program (LUBW) and will be collected as part of the interim evaluation of the large-scale nature conservation project Baar in 2023, processing of conflicting goals

- Development of an action plan for the bird sanctuary "Baar" taking into account other bird species that are valuable for nature conservation

- Intensive coordination with nature conservation administration and - if necessary - other parts of the administration

The management plan is the future basis for the nature conservation, agriculture and forest administration for the implementation of Natura 2000. Through the procedural public participation, the acceptance of NATURA 2000 is to be increased and further information relevant to planning is to be obtained.

The final SOW will be submitted to the selected candidates when they are invited to submit a bid.
