The Contract is for the construction, completion, testing and commissioning of the following works: All permanent and temporary works associated with carriageway widening along the Stewartstown Road between Michael Ferguson Roundabout and McKinstry Roundabout to facilitate implementation of the Westway Belfast Rapid Transit Network. The scheme will also include construction of a contractor-designed retaining structure, the upgrade of a number of major and minor junctions and controlled/uncontrolled pedestrian crossings. The works include the provision of a bus turning area for the proposed Transport Hub and Public Square at Colin Town Centre, the construction of this Transport Hub and Public Square which will occur alongside this scheme. as a separate Contract.
