NHS Vale of York CCG wish to establish a single Provider contract for the provision of Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment, Triage and Treatment Services (MSK).

The MSK service will provide an accurate triage of referrals, assessment, investigation and treatment of a range of MSK symptoms and onward referral when deemed necessary.

The new services will be implemented by 1.9.2015, enabling service users to access the care they need in a variety of ways. The MSK service also links to key objectives of the 5 year plan: promoting healthy lifestyles; timely treatment and supporting long-term conditions to improve quality of life.

The MSK service will provide a multi-disciplinary service — providing a one-stop service for assessment, diagnosis, treatment or referral to other specialists — in appropriate service setting (e.g. primary/community care).

We are looking for one provider who can bring added value to the Vale of York health and social care economy. This might include contributing clinical and operational expertise and leadership, the ability to drive service transformation and innovation in the context of a challenging financial environment. We need providers who value the contribution and role of other partners and will proactively take every opportunity to work with partners in maximising the impact and benefit of services and resources.

The CCG expects the provider to be able to evidence continuous improvement based on current evolving evidence-based best practice. The term of the Contract will be 5 years from 1.9.2015 to 31.8.2020.
