Engineering services to explore the deeper underground, engineering services to provide expert advice on groundwater remediation using arsenic mobilization, risk assessment and optimization of groundwater remediation.

The former factory site of the Neuschloß chemical factory is located east of Lampertheim in the Neuschloß district. From 1827 to about 1927, soda, sulfuric acid and artificial fertilizers were produced here. Soil investigations and further explorations showed the widespread presence of soil contamination and groundwater contamination with heavy metals (especially arsenic) and organic pollutants. Starting from the old site of the former chemical factory, a large-scale pollutant flag characterized by arsenic had formed over time, which today stretches across the residential area from Neuschloß to the northwest in the direction of the drinking water production in the Bürstädter Wald.

The following services are advertised in the project:

- familiarization with the existing project and project documents including on-site appointments, summarizing the state of knowledge,

- Takeover and development of the flow and transport model,

- plant controls of the groundwater remediation plant,

- Checking and ensuring occupational safety measures,

- Support of the client in quality assurance measures,

- Data management and maintenance of the HIM-ASG database system (GW manager),

- Monitoring the proper operation of the water treatment plant (WAA) in the sense of external expert monitoring (including carrying out on-site checks and sampling),

- preparation of the award and participation in the award of operational and maintenance services of the existing plant and process technology including large-scale arsenic mobilization,

- Planning and implementation of monitoring examinations including creation of the monitoring concept as well as provision and operation of equipment for groundwater sampling as well as provision, provision, operation and maintenance of a mobile cleaning system,

- Implementation of groundwater sampling including safety-related status checks of the groundwater measuring points,

- Documentation of the groundwater monitoring studies (results of remediation monitoring and annual reports),

- allocation of laboratory services,

- Control and monitoring of large-scale arsenic mobilization including quality assurance, data management and occupational safety,

- documentation of the results of the arsenic mobilization,

- Planning, monitoring and coordination of groundwater monitoring studies in the course of large-scale arsenic mobilization,

- Provision, provision, operation and maintenance of equipment for deep-zoned sampling in the low-volume process and implementation of deep-zoned sampling in the low-volume process,

- Planning and contracting services to explore the upper intermediate horizon and the middle aquifer,

- Awarding of drilling and well construction services including long-term pumping tests for exploration,

- Control, monitoring and monitoring of drilling and well construction measures and exploration measures including quality assurance and data management,

- Documentation of the drilling and well construction work and the long-term pumping test,

- Provision, provision, operation and maintenance of data loggers.
