See II.2.4).
The project consists, on the site of the Chaussée de Mons 409 at 1070 Anderlecht, in:
- the deconstruction of the existing building,
- the construction of a new building or a set of new buildings. This new construction will host the following functions:
- a fire station of the type "Advanced Fire Service Station" (PASI) with an area of +/- 2 950 m
- the relocation of logistics services currently housed at the headquarters of the State Major Heliport: lingerie and masks masks, an area +/- 1 450 m
- a sports center with an area of +/- 1,300 m
- Underground parking with 27 spaces for light vehicles.
The project, in addition to its functional aspects that will allow it to provide a quality public service, will seek to:
- give a symbolic image of the sheltered functions,
- Demonstrate the ability to build a mixed and complementary project on a site, with meaning for the district and region, exemplary in the implementation of the ambitions of the Canal Plan of the Brussels-Capital Region and contributing to the development of the Canal territory,
- be exemplary in terms of durability and circular approach, during design, construction and works (including reversibility of the design and implementation of the building).
PASI and sports equipment will be managed by 2 separate entities. This must be taken into consideration, particularly for the special technical aspects.
The whole being intended to remain in public management, the project will have to be apprehended in terms of overall cost. The choices to be made, particularly in terms of energy, will have to take this dimension into consideration.
