The contracting entity invites tenders for the rail yard traffic management service. The aim of rail yard traffic control is to enable traffic in the railway yard area in all situations. The aim is also to develop and improve the efficiency of operations and to achieve cost savings.

Rail yard traffic control is carried out by an external operator at those traffic points or parts of the traffic point where, due to the steering technical characteristics, Fintraffic Raide Oy cannot direct traffic with the help of remote control.

The railway yard traffic controller ensures access roads for incoming and outgoing trains for the inlet or exit track of the pre-planned track connection, ensuring the correct position of the switches and the safe availability of the tracks.

The procurement is divided into two sub-areas: RLO area Hamina, Imatrankoski, Kotka, Kuusankoski and RLO area Oulu and Vartius.
