The sorting of bio-waste at source is a major issue in the management and recovery of déchets.la anti-waste law for a circular economy requires the generalisation of sorting bio-waste at source by 31/12/23, which includes all producers of bio-waste, including households.this regulatory obligation will apply everywhere in Europe from 1/01/25.to meet these requirements, The Creusot Montceau Urban Community won the call for projects from the Agency for Ecological Transition and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region, entitled "Generalising the sorting of bio-waste at source", in September 2022.As part of this project, an experiment of separate collection of bio-waste will be carried out using connected cabinets as voluntary drop-off points dedicated to bio-waste.This solution complements the existing local composting solutions that remain a priority, whether it is individual or collective composting
