Renewal and modernization of the Bühlot outdoor pool in Bühlertal:

After more than 50 years of operation, the outdoor swimming pool built in the 1960s is in need of major renovation and modernization.

The following measures are planned:

- Reduction of the water surface of the existing combination pool from approx. 1,500 square meters to 960 square meters,

- Dismantling of the existing functional building and replacement with a two-part new building with accommodation of the technical systems as well as the changing, sanitary and personnel areas,

- Complete renewal of the water treatment system and the associated piping as well as renewal of the sanitary, heat supply and electrical systems,

- Installation of a stainless steel combination pool in the existing concrete pool,

- complete renovation of the outdoor facilities,

- Installation of a wide wave slide and a new jumping facility (1 m, 3 m, 5 m).

Start of construction: March 1, 2021 Completion: April 15, 2022 Total construction costs (KG 200-600): approx. 5.6 million EUR net.

Demolition:

Dangerous goods demolition:

- Remove and dispose of approx. 500 square meters of PCB-containing wall and floor coatings,

- Remove and dispose of approx. 780 sqm KMF insulation,

- Remove and dispose of approx. 230 square meters of screed with PAH-containing waterproofing,

- Dig, dismantle and dispose of approx. 250 m of asbestos-cement pipes,

- Remove approx. 880 m of asbestos-containing corrugated cement roofing and cement shingles and dispose of them.

Demolition in outdoor facilities:

- Break off and dispose of approx. 950 square meters of concrete pavement on the concrete substructure,

- Break off walk-through pools, diving boards, stainless steel stairs,

- 200 m saw cuts in reinforced concrete floor slabs and walls,

- approx. 50 cbm concrete demolition.

Building demolition:

- approx. 4,000 cbm of enclosed space,

- approx. 950 cbm reinforced concrete and masonry,

- approx. 780 sqm roof structure made of wooden trusses and wooden ceiling,

- Approx. 820 square meters of floor coverings, screed and tiles, terrazzo tiles.

Service period:

- Gutting buildings from week 10 2021 to week 12 2021,

- Building pollutants from week 12 2021 to week 14 2021,

- Disposal of external pollutants from week 15 2021 to week 19 2021,

- Demolition of the building from week 15 2021 to week 19 2021,

- Saw cuts and concrete demolition combination basin from week 20 2021 to week 22 2021.
