Accordingly, the City of Essen is inviting tenders for advice on the implementation of a training concept in the field of digitization based on scientifically based derivation at the Health Department of the City of Essen as well as resulting face-to-face training in the area of sensitization to digitization and sensitization to process thinking.
As part of the Digital Health Office 2025 funding call by the federal government, the Essen Health Department has set itself the goal of familiarizing the entire workforce with basic digital skills according to their respective requirements and, in a further essential step, to focus on digital process thinking. Based on this, the entire office is then to be successively digitally aligned.
Both the target and labor law require employees to be trained in a targeted manner, to be involved in practical learning units such as workshops and to be motivated in terms of content to support the digital transformation. This creates the need for a coordinated training concept and its initial implementation.
As part of the "Digital Health Office 2025" funding call, the possibility of re-using the training concept to be developed in other health authorities is also being sought in particular. To the best of our knowledge, such a training concept a) tailored to the Essen Health Department and comparable offices as well as b) target group-specific training courses to raise awareness of digitization in the health care system and subsequent training courses to sensitize process thinking has neither been researched nor developed on a scientifically sound basis to date. Scientific support of the scientifically based digitization project with the aim of developing a training concept in the field of digitization that is appropriate for the target group is therefore indispensable.
