This involves supporting individuals through the Personal Health Budget process to ensure the budget received is appropriate to meet the identified and eligible health needs.

The CCG are commissioning an organisation to deliver the support planning function along with the payment and audit function.

The service will assist individuals and/or budget holders to use and manage the personal health budget responsibly and lawfully, assisting them to exercise full choice and control, and supporting a culture of reduced dependence on services by empowering individuals and budget holders to become self-supporting wherever possible.
