IV-18-020 Engineering and Planning Services Vessel Vogelsang in Rheinfelden

Engineering and planning services Vessel Vogelsang in Rheinfelden

Conceptually, it is intended to rebuild the central elevated tank of the drinking water supply of the city of Rheinfelden.

1) demolition high tank 3000;

2) construction of elevated tank;

3) Maintaining pressure booster for elevated tank 300 (container emergency solution).

General:

Current supply

Conceptually, it is intended to have the central water tank, the HB 3000, the drinking water supply of the city of Rheinfelden (Baden), rebuilt. The HB 3000 was built in 1968 and is located in the Grüttgasse, above the Grüttgasse 6 in Nollingen.

The container is fed by 3 deep wells of the city (TB 4 Herten, TB 1 Rheinfelden & TB 3 Rheinfelden) and serves as the city's main supply container. In the HB 3000 there is a pressure booster, which conveys part of the drinking water to the next higher altitude HB 300, which is responsible for the supply of the hospital and a district.

Future supply

The planned HB Vogelsang will replace the HB 3000. It is to be built on the same site and has a capacity of 4 500 m 3 exhibit. A preliminary investigation showed that a refurbishment or conversion of the existing HB 3000, due to its very special statics, is out of the question. The pressure booster system, which represents the emergency supply of the HB 300 Nollingen, should also be considered in the new tank. During the construction period, the water supply will be provided by a pressurized operation of the 3 urban fountains mentioned.

In the event of a major system failure or power failure during construction, water may be supplied from Rheinfelden Switzerland. This feed will be completed in 2019.

Building HB Vogelsang

Engineering construction tank

The existing HB 3000, with a capacity of 3 000 m 3 , will be demolished. The new HB Vogelsang, with a capacity of 2 x 2 250 m 3 , should be built at the same location. The HB Vogelsang is preferably constructed as a rectangular building with a cementitious internal coating. To minimize additional excavation measures, the base area of the new elevated tank should be largely congruent with the existing container. Taking into account the local conditions (slope length, adjacent residential development, etc.), the height of the new vessel should be based on the existing terrain height. The previous pressure booster system for the HB 300 must be housed in a newly planned building.

Access and parking space should be located in the Grüttgasse to ensure easy maintenance of the container.

Special features of the construction

Construction-time feed-in in HB 300

A pressure booster system is installed in the HB 3000, which serves as the second feed of the HB 300 (in the emergency supply case). This supply option must be maintained in the time of construction, especially because the HB 300 supplies a hospital.

For this purpose, a temporary, external container solution with appropriate delivery stage (pump data: Q = 45 m 3 /H; Delivery height approx. H = 70 m) in question. The existing remote workstation and the control cabinets can be at least partially installed in the temporary.

Location and directions

The elevated tank is located on a ridge that drops steeply in 3 directions. The space available on the property is sufficient for the existing and the future container, but probably not for the construction project. There are approx. 10 m between the opposite border of the Grüttgasse and the HB 3000 and approx. 15 m to the southern kindergarten. The location borders on a high-quality development area and the traffic-technical delivery is difficult. The Grüttgasse is partly only about 2.5 m wide and in parts steep.

The EMSR equipment at HB Vogelsang and in the outsourced emergency power supply of the HB 300 is planned by the contractor.

This must be done in cooperation and coordination with the EMSR department of the bnNETZE.

The structural design of HB Vogelsang must be carried out by the contractor. The demolition of the existing HB 3000 must be taken into account.
