Sweden's Geological Survey (SGU) is the authority responsible for issues related to rock, soil and groundwater in Sweden. SGU will meet society's need for geological information that can serve as a basis for exploration for ore and mineral, construction work, civil works in marine environment, drinking water supply, environmental care, nature conservation work, work with environmental quality goals etc. SGU has also entered in its authority instruction to contribute to Contaminated areas within the environmental quality target Non-toxic environment are reached by:
1 inventory and carry out liability investigations, necessary investigations, measures and subsequent environmental control in areas where the state has its own responsibility for remediation and where no other authority can be responsible for remediation;
2 may, at the request of a municipality, be the head of remediation projects where post-treatment is done in whole or in part with government grants, and
Collaborate with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.
The assignment is a framework agreement for conducting environmental technical investigations and investigations, preferably main studies and preparatory investigations within the framework of SGU's work with SFO and BFO. The present framework contract procurement aims to make the procurement procedure simpler and more cost-effective. Calls will be made through renewed competition and for smaller assignments through distribution key.
