SWK Mobil GmbH is the advertiser. The plan is to build a new office building ("Gewerberiegelkomplex") in Krefeld, Gatherhofstraße/St. Töniser Straße.

SWK Mobil GmbH is a subsidiary of SWK Stadtwerke Krefeld AG. SWK Mobil GmbH is integrated into the SWK group of companies. The SWK Group is a group of companies active in the fields of energy and water, waste disposal, transport and services.

The services in the Transport business segment are provided in Krefeld and adjacent areas in the form of incoming/outgoing traffic. The Transport business segment bundles mobility services in local public road passenger transport (ÖSPV), which are provided by SWK Mobil GmbH (bus and tram) and its sister company SWK Fahrservice GmbH.

The object of SWK Mobil GmbH is the provision of transport and/or driving services as well as services of general economic interest. In this context, society contributes to the fulfilment of tasks oriented towards the common good. The company has complied with and achieved this public purpose.

SWK Mobil GmbH operates both the tram and bus network in the city of Krefeld and within the framework of incoming and outgoing lines and traffic.

SWK Mobil GmbH commissions the execution planning and construction of an office building on a site of Stadtwerke Krefeld in Krefeld, Gatherhofstraße 8.

The planned building is expected to be available for use in the 2nd quarter of 2024.

So far, planning services up to and including service phase 4 have been provided by external architects.

An assignment and preparation of expert opinions and reports concerning, among other things, the environment, geotechnics, contaminated sites, soil and soil air samples has been carried out.

The project is self-financed. A building permit was granted at the beginning of 2022.

The subject of the contract is the awarding of general contractor services, i.e. execution planning and construction. A division into lots cannot take place.

usage concept

The commercial bar is intended for office use. It is planned that about 50% of the space will be rented to service providers of the SWK companies of the area and about 50% will be used by SWK Mobil GmbH itself. It is possible to divide the area for several users.

Urban development concept

The construction site borders on the depot grounds.

Access is via Gatherhofstraße from the west to the property. The central access is located on the south side of the building in the eastern wing.

Building concept

The building with two full storeys and a staggered storey is an elongated structure

oriented in east-west direction. The building has no basement.
