This concerns the procurement of cleaning services for buildings or facilities used by the university in Turku. The buildings are located in Kupittaa, Ruissalo, Hämeenkatu and Itäharju. Kupittaa is home to buildings called Medisiina A-C, Dentalia and Teutori, where the largest unit is the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Turku.

The facilities are mainly used for office, teaching and laboratory use. In addition, they house medical and procedure facilities, restaurant facilities, a library and technical facilities.

The largest of the separate sites is the Ruissalo Botanical Garden, which consists of several buildings in the same yard. The greenhouse building has customer premises, office, laboratory and teaching facilities, while the maintenance building has social and maintenance facilities.

The Drone Hall, which is used by the Faculty of Technology, is located on Tierankatu in Itäharju, and in addition to the hall space, it has office and storage facilities.

Yrittäjyystila Konttori is located on Hämeenkatu 9 and serves as a co-working space for students, researchers and staff.

The invitation to tender concerns the maintenance and additional cleaning services of the buildings referred to in the invitation to tender and Annex 3, with any changes during the contract period (to be notified by the Client), maintenance and additional cleaning services or other cleaning services described in the invitation to tender. The location of the buildings can be seen in the area map in Appendix 2 (campus map) and other description of the invitation to tender.

Annex 3 specifies by building, on the basis of current information, how many square metres according to the different cleaning levels (cleanliness) (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b and 3) are in each building. Each cleaning level describes the absolute minimum level of cleanliness required by the Client. In order to ensure that the tenders are commensurate, the tenderer is required to carry out the tender calculation in accordance with the number of square metres set out in Annex 3. At the user's notification, the cleaning levels can be changed from the client's unilateral notification as described in the price section (Appendix 4) in the Draft Contract attached to the invitation to tender/request for quotation.

In terms of maintenance cleaning, the university's facilities are divided into five different cleanliness classes 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b and 3. The minimum requirements for each level of cleaning are set out in Annex 5 (Cleanliness levels). Annex 5 also contains information on additional cleaning. With regard to the Annex, particular attention shall be paid to achieving the required overall impression according to each cleaning level.

In addition, for some special cleaning sites or for uninstructed cleaning activities, specific additional cleaning regulations or special considerations have been issued in Annex 6.

Prior to the signing of the contract, each room and other space will be specified for the service provider by level of cleaning (granulation).

Appendix 7 Billing instructions provide more detailed instructions on how the billing is implemented.

The purpose of the floor plans appendices is to give an overview of the floor map of the premises, the layout and size class of the rooms, the different spaces, as well as similar factors. The information provided in the other parts of the invitation to tender supersedes any deviating references in the floor plans.

Cleaning operations are planned to start as of 1.9.2023.
