Description:

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SDCCG) and NHS England (North Midlands) is looking for providers who would be interested in tendering for a 12 month caretaking contract for a GP Surgery in Derby commencing 1.4.2017.

Key points for consideration for interested providers are:

— Must be able to demonstrate an ability to mobilise to service provision within a short time frame.

— Requires recruitment to GP positions as the two current partners are to resign and retire respectively.

During the caretaking arrangement, it is envisaged that the long term future of the service will be determined through public consultation and, depending on the outcome of the consultation; a possible re-procurement will be undertaken.



The identified provider will have the option to continue to provide services from this premise and should note the premise is not part of the NHS estate.

The practice was inspected by the CQC in December 2015 and was given an overall rating of ‘Requires Improvement’. They also received a rating of Requires Improvement for the following areas: — Safe — Effective —Well-Led.
