Description:
IT basic infrastructure

The focus of the EVB service contract to be tendered lies in the award of services for the maintenance and provision of the basic IT infrastructure of KBB GmbH. The basic infrastructure forms an essential basis for electronic data processing, for the use of user software and thus for the daily work of the employees on the computers of the KBB. It is centrally controlled by KBB-IT and used by all business areas. The central components of the service description include:

1. Storage (special server on which all data and documents are stored),

2. Hypervisor (virtualization, enables a "virtual server" to be set up if required, to which more memory or more computing power can be allocated with a click of the mouse.),

3. Backup solution (function for restoring accidentally deleted data),

4. E-mail service (server-side infrastructure for sending e-mails),

5. E-mail service (server-side infrastructure for sending e-mails),

6. Infrastructure monitoring (early detection of impending errors in order to avoid them before the problems affect users),

7. Operation of the collaboration tools Jira and Wiki from KBB GmbH for internal collaboration.

As part of this tender, KBB is looking for an operating partner for KBB's basic infrastructure. KBB operates a data center distributed across 3 locations and looks after up to 1,200 employees per year.

The focus of the advertised operational tasks are:

1. Windows Server Administration,

a) Windows Server OS Upgrade (Operating System),

b) Maintenance and adaptation of the GPOs (Group Policy Object),

c) AD certification authority (Active Directory),

d) Maintenance of the DNS server (Domain Name Server),

e) Maintenance of DHCP scopes and DHCP scope replication,

f) Installation, maintenance, configuration of remote desktop services,

2. Windows Update Service (WSUS),

3. Virtualization (Proxmox / VMWare),

4. CEPH operation,

5. Evaluation and introduction of a new monitoring solution that enables long-term analyzes.

6. Installation, configuration, administration of the Exchange Server,

7. Operation of Microsoft SQL Server,

8. Operation Confluence and Jira,

In addition to the operation of the above components, the description of services also describes tasks for the structural improvement of the system landscape.

The planned term is: July 1, 2021 to a maximum of June 30, 2028 The contractual relationship should begin no later than July 1, 2021. Since it is possible that a contract can only start after July 1, 2021 due to the tight schedule, the start of the contract is dynamically set to 7 days after the conclusion of the contract / contract. The contract initially runs until June 30, 2022. After the contract period has expired, ie on July 1, 2022, there is the option of extending the contract for a further 12 months. The contract should be able to be extended up to 6/30/2028 at the latest through further extension options of 12 months each.
