Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) is part of Tampere University of Technology. 1 of the core areas of ORC's research is the fabrication, processing, and characterization of semiconductor lasers. ORC is procuring a new laser diode characterization (LDC) system. The LDC system will be used in the measurement and the characterization of packaged, electrically pumped semiconductor diode lasers. The system will be used in academic research with a large variation in the measured components (as opposed to mass-testing in industrial production).
