These services are to be provided in particular in accordance with the waste statutes issued by the City of Karlsruhe in conjunction with the existing coordination agreement between the City of Karlsruhe and the operators of dual systems (BDS), in particular the agreement concluded therein on the joint collection of lightweight packaging and non-packaging of the same material for the area of the City of Karlsruhe.

All services must be provided in compliance with the legal rules and regulations. Particular attention is drawn to compliance with the regulations of the employers' liability insurance association applicable to the contractor.

As a result of the agreement between the AG and the BDS, the municipal collection of lightweight packaging in accordance with Section 14 (1) of the Packaging Act as well as non-packaging of the same material made of plastics and metals by means of a recycling bin will be transferred to BDS on January 1, 2024. The household collection of recyclables in the disposal area is carried out via 2- and 4-wheeled waste and recyclables containers (AWB) with a capacity of up to 1,100 l. The AWB are usually emptied every 14 days. Changes in the pick-up cycle are possible. The quantities of recyclables collected by BDS will be divided in accordance with the voting agreement. A total of 36.86% of the collected amount of recyclable material is to be recycled by the client and thus by the contractor. According to the experience of recent years, a total amount of approx. 17,000 mg can be assumed. According to the apportionment key, approx. 6,266 Mg of recyclable materials per year are to be recycled by the contractor. No minimum quantities are guaranteed on the part of the client.
