The project Green urban spaces & cloudburst protection in Sigurdsgade & side streets will alleviate flooding in Sigurdsgade and side streets in Outer Nørrebro by delaying cloudburst water and handling everyday rain from decoupled road areas in green elements.

At the same time, selected sealed areas will be transformed into green urban spaces and promote the local connection between and Skjolds Plads and Sifs Plads.

Road safety and accessibility for vulnerable road users must be increased in the area, and recreational facilities and safety-creating lighting must be established.

In addition, the project is expected to include the restoration of selected sections of the project area's streets to contemporary standards, if funding is granted during the budget negotiations in September 2023.
