The provision includes the execution of the referred work in order to guarantee the adequate provision of the public service of supply in high through the management of the set of infrastructures located in the municipality of Padrón, in order to contribute to the effective fulfillment of the objectives of supply and guarantee of supply in quality, respecting the parameters of quality of water for human consumption required by the applicable regulations, and in quantity that are intended to be achieved with its execution.

The works consist of increasing the treatment capacity of the facilities of the drinking water treatment plant (ETAP) of Padrón through the execution of the improvement work object of this contract, in order to solve the problems of limitation of the plant, eliminating or minimizing the existing risks and adapting the facilities, and the future scenario of foreseeable increase in the municipal demand for drinking water of the system and, in this way, guarantee an adequate and correct provision of the basic municipal service of supply in high that, as far as the municipality of Padrón is concerned, has been provided by the public business entity Augas de Galicia in collaboration with the municipality of Padrón; It is expected that this action will serve an estimated population of 89,503 equivalent inhabitants in the year 2044.
