In cooperation between schools and school authorities, a spatial programme has already been developed and coordinated and a preliminary planning for the implementation of the spatial programme has been developed, on the basis of which further planning services are now to be awarded.

Each school should have its own administrative area as well as year clusters that can only be assigned to the respective school. As in the existing buildings, the specialist class wings are to be used jointly by both schools.
The school centre consists of the following wings: A-wing classes HAG, B-wing administration and classes HAG, C-wing classes HAG and library HAG+LTS, D-wing administration and classes LTS, E-wing auditorium and music rooms HAG+LTS, F-wing natural sciences HAG+LTS, G-wing art/works/music HAG+LTS, H-wing library and leisure HAG+LTS, 3 sports halls and 1 canteen building.
As part of the building construction project to be planned, both the canteen and the wings A, B, C (without library), D, E (without auditorium), F (partially), G and H are to be renovated and two extensions are to be built to meet the requirements of the room program. In the planning, all concerns regarding fire protection, inclusion, all-day demands and modern forms of teaching must be taken into account.
The gross floor areas are divided approximately as follows: renovation approx. 21,000 m², new construction approx. 4,000 m². The new buildings are to meet the requirements for the energy standard of a KfW Efficiency House 40. The canteen, as the only wing that has not yet undergone an energy-efficient refurbishment in the past, must be prepared in such a way that it meets at least the requirements for the energy standard of a KfW Efficiency House 55.
Since the construction phase will take place during ongoing operations, the working group places special demands on the coordination of all participants and the participation of the users - both before and during the construction phase - in order to achieve the highest possible level of compliance with the accepted restrictions for the construction period and to bring the project to a satisfactory conclusion for all.
