The original of the instrument is in the collections of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg.

The instrument has the following dimensions:

- chest height - 320 mm,

- length - 2,200 mm,

- width - 1 100 mm.

The furniture part of the instrument is made of spruce covered with walnut veneer. Top cover made of ceiba wood veneered with nut. The veneer surface finish is hard wax.

The acoustic part of the instrument; the floor and internal skeleton are made of seasoned spruce beams. Resonance board and ribs made of alpine spruce with slight graining. Bridge made of beech wood. The instrument's tuner made of maple wood.

The only change is the extension of the upper register to c4 (scale FF-c4). The instrument should have a string compatible with the original
