The National Library of Ireland is entering into a renovation that will require the move off-site of Library's Prints and Drawings Collection for at least the period of the renovation. The Library's Prints and Drawings Collection contains approximately 100 000 rare, sometimes unique or irreplaceable, items dating from the 17th to the 21st Century. The unique nature of this Collection means that the storage conditions must be of the highest standards in security, environmental protection, fire and flood protection and mitigation against all other risks, and must observe best practice in management and use.
