The National Bank of Belgium is an institution that employs more than 2,000 people. At the heart of the Eurosystem, it promotes financial and economic stability and fulfils many public interest tasks.

As part of the implementation of its strategic plan, a "Paperless" program has been set up.

The objective of this program is to digitize all document management processes, and to ensure effective work methods that will be used by employees in the accomplishment of their tasks. At this stage, the focus is on exploring and offering cross-functional solutions that support the digitalization of processes. One of the cross-cutting solutions already identified is the introduction of a platform for digital signatures.

For this transversal solution, the Bank is launching a public contract for the purchase, implementation and long-term maintenance of such a platform.

This platform should integrate seamlessly with the Bank's existing IT environment, as well as governance and compliance rules.

Data and application security is very important to the Bank, as is compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies. The Bank has the necessary risk frameworks and methodologies, both at the operational and IT levels, to guide the choice of IT solutions.
