Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group and East and North Herts Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking to procure the provision of postural stability services to patients within Hertfordshire from 1.2.2017.

The aims of the service are to reduce the number of falls per year and also to commission evidence based, patient centred, high quality, value for money service for the prompt rehabilitation and treatment of patients aged 65 and older who have fallen within the previous 12 months.

It is intended that a contract will be awarded for a primary period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years, providing a total contract duration of 5 years.

It should be noted that this is a notice concerning the procurement of health services and therefore is subject to Regulation 74 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR). The Contracting Authority will use a procurement process similar to Open Procedure under PCR but this does not indicate acceptance of the full applicability of the PCR in relation to the Open Procedure or more widely.
