Sykehusbygg HF invites tenderers, on behalf of Helse Møre og Romsdal HF to a competition for consultancy services for the design of and engineering design services for Sjukehuset Nordmøre og Romsdal (SNR). Architect services will be contracted in a separate competition. SNR shall replace the existing hospitals in Kristiansund and Molde. The psychiatric hospital in Opdøl/Hjelset shall also be included in the new joint hospital. SNR shall meet the long term need for specialist services and it shall be an acute hospital for Nordmøre and Romsdal.

The gross floor area of the hospital is, in the idea phase report (attached), estimated to be approx. 70 000 m² somatic, approx. 6 000 m² psychiatric and 4 - 5 000 m² outpatients/day treatment. The total gross floor area is between 77 000 and 80 000 m². The project cost is 5.5 - 5-8 000 000 000NOK (including fixtures and equipment).
