The City of Beringen and OCMW Beringen want to encourage staff members to move to work in a sustainable way. They can get into a system of bicycle lease. This agreement is intended to appoint a leasing company that offers bicycle lease and additional all-in services (maintenance, insurance, repair, operational management) to staff members of the city council of Beringen who meet the conditions for granting the bicycle policy.

At the moment, 480 employees are eligible to enter into a bicycle lease contract. The probable quantity for this assignment in 4 years is 130 bicycles. The actual quantities will be determined by the individual choice of the staff concerned.

The staff members have a free choice of the type of bicycle. The sole purpose of the inventory that is requested is to be able to compare the registrations on offered lease price, breakdown assistance, insurance, maintenance and administration costs. The inventory contains only fictitious examples of bicycles and is only intended to compare the offers on the basis of bicycles with equal value. Within the city and OCMW, bicycle leasing will be deducted from the end-of-year allowance.
