The present tender relates to the acquisition of Networks as a Service “NAAS” for University College Nordjylland University College.
The purpose of this contract is that UCN NET, through network operation outsourcing, maintains and lifts the existing high level of user and customer satisfaction in UCN NET and where user and customer satisfaction, must be the governing provider's services and investments for this contract.
The network, upon conclusion of this contract, includes 6 campuses of varying sizes: 4 campuses in Aalborg, 1 campus in Hjørring and 1 campus in Thisted. The total number of potential users of the network, upon conclusion of this contract, is approximately 10 000 students, and approximately 900 employees.
The supplier shall provide a complete operation and maintenance of UCN NET in accordance with the contract, with associated monitoring, support and maintenance of UCN NET, which consists of an established fiber-based WAN as well as all LAN and WLAN at UCN's locations with associated network components.
The vendor must continuously ensure that the hardware and software operating UCN Net is continuously replaced, serviced and updated so that the technology in UCN NET is at all times and of a quality that supports good user satisfaction and the other service objectives of the contract.
The supplier shall provide a technology assurance plan to ensure that conditions such as quality, capacity and security levels in UCN NET during the contract period are maintained, adapted and consolidated, including by proactively implementing the technology assurance plan by updating the software, hardware, processes, etc.
The vendor must continuously update and update the technology assurance plan and, in a collaboration with UCN IT, make an ongoing assessment of how trends, trends, threats and opportunities may affect UCN NET.
The objective is that UCN NET's functionality delivers a continuous high quality to UCN NET's users throughout the contract period, supporting UCN's purpose and business.
The supplier has the obligation of initiative and shall take any action which is a natural or appropriate part of the fulfilment of the supplier's obligation under the contract and its propulsion, as a 'Network as a Service', which is, among other things, the following:
- Configuration and patch management
- Troubleshooting with errors experienced as network-related
- Technology selection and purchase of hardware and software, provided that all quality and operational requirements are supported
- Ownership of all active equipment, including procurement, registration, replacements, replacement equipment and availability of spare parts
- 3rd party vendor contact
- Advertisements and insurance conditions
- Proactive and reactive monitoring of WAN, LAN and WLAN, and availability and capacity to support quality objectives
- Supply of fibre mesh compounds
- Planning and executing change
- Contact the customer at UCN, which is UCN IT.
The total volume of the contract tendered is expected to have an estimated value of 18 million. DKK including options.
Volume is solely indicative and based on historical figures as well as an assessment of the current market, which is why they cannot be taken as an expression of a guaranteed future revenue size.
