For the economic reorganization of the Southwest hospital network, the hospital sites in Böblingen and Sindelfingen will be merged into a new building on the airfield site in Böblingen. The task was to combine the medical concerns of a large hospital with its close functional relationships with the urban planning context, based on the results of the urban planning ideas competition.
