Purchase of play equipment and park furniture for the City of Kouvola for the period 2023-2025 and one (1) possible option year.

The object of the procurement is the furniture, play equipment and design service and installation of parks, public areas and property yards to be procured for the City of Kouvola. A framework agreement can also be used to purchase small amounts of outdoor exercise equipment if necessary. The actual outdoor gym equipment will be put out to tender through a separate tendering process.

The city reserves the right to its own design and installation. In self-designed projects, equipment can be ordered for the same site from several different suppliers.

Play equipment must meet the SFS-EN 11761:2017 safety standards.

The planned contract period is 1.7.2023 - 30.6.2025. The starting date of the contract period may be specified as the procurement process progresses. It is possible to attach 1 option year to the contract, the exercise of the option requires the approval of both parties.

This is a framework agreement for which five (5) of the most economically advantageous will be selected. During the agreement period, procurements of more than €60,000 (VAT 0%) will be subject to mini-competitive tendering between selected operators. Smaller procurements can also be subject to mini-tendering.

During the framework agreement, the choice of supplier in an individual order is affected by:

- suitability of play equipment and park furniture for the site (suitability is also taken into account for possible outdoor sports equipment)

- the size and style of the site and the landscape surrounding the park;

- other furnishings and materials used at the site,

All units of the City of Kouvola can join the agreement.
