The system currently in use for the higher education sector and basic education (primary and secondary schools, sixth form colleges and occupational training). In primary education, Feide is used by all of the country's municipalities, county authorities and approx. ¾ of the country's independent/private schools.
Sikt (the Knowledge Sector's service provider) operates the services in Feide. Management and development of Feide for primary and secondary education is carried out in close collaboration between Sikt and Udir. The use of Feide in primary and secondary education has stabilised in recent years at approx. 220 million logins per year.
The development of parent-child functionality in the Feide service is one of the measures related to the Feide service in the Action Plan for Digitalisation in Primary and Secondary Education 2020-2022. The purpose of the assignment is to gain insight into current and possible future access to information, functionality and decision-making authority for people with a relationship to the pupil, and to establish a common standard based on this that can be used as a basis for such a link in Feide. In addition, the assignment will include contributing descriptions of key processes in the sector with relevant personas*, based on previous insight work.
