ScotRail plans to operate additional train services to Gleneagles station between 23rd and 28.9.2014 for the 2014 Ryder Cup. In order to maximize the capacity offered for spectators wishing to travel to the event by rail, ScotRail requires a competent Operator to supply and operate 3 Locomotive Hauled Coaching Stock (LHCS) train sets to support the special event timetable.

It is currently anticipated that the LHCS train sets will operate between Glasgow and / or Edinburgh and Gleneagles as well as Perth and Gleneagles. Full details of the services to be operated will be provided in the invitation to tender.
