1. Information on the construction project

- General description:

The offices of the parliamentary services, the press centre of the German Bundestag, media services, two meeting rooms for committees of inquiry and other infrastructural areas of use are also located here.

During construction, the individual houses were designed by four different architectural offices. (House 1 and 2: Schweger & Partner, houses 3 and 7: Busmann+Haberer, houses 4 and 8: Gerkan, Marg and Partner, House 5 and 6: de Architekten Cie, Reich Presidents Palace: Van den Valentyn).

Underground, a utility tunnel connects the JKH with other Bundestag buildings. Two bridges above ground provide the connection between the building complexes located on both sides of the Dorothetrasse. Houses 1 and 5 and 4 and 8 are also connected by pedestrian tunnels.
