The AME department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS (Fraunhofer IIS) is looking for a contractor to provide software development services as part of the project "Fixed-point and assembler optimization for audio signal processing".

In the field of audio and media technologies (AME) of the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS (Fraunhofer IIS), scientists and engineers have been working on audio and image signal processing as well as audio and image coding for more than 25 years. With its significant participation in the development of the audio coding methods mp3 and AAC, Fraunhofer IIS has become known worldwide. Over the past two decades, Fraunhofer IIS has licensed audio coding software to more than 1,000 companies and enabled more than ten billion commercial products. Key recent developments in audio include the EVS and IVAS codecs for CD-quality phone calls, xHE-AAC for streaming and digital radio, and MPEG-H Audio, which allows TV viewers to customize the sound. The AME department is looking for a contractor to provide software development services as part of the project "Fixed-point and assembler optimization for audio signal processing".

Term of the order is from 01.04.2023 to 31.3.2025.

We assume an average effort of 88 person hours per month (1050 hours per year).

However, depending on the project situation, this can be exceeded or undercut. The total scope during the contract period (24 months) is a maximum of 2,100 man-hours.
