The construction project is the general renovation of the Valentin-Ickelsamer-Mittelschule, Dinkelsbühler Straße 3 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The object of this award is the master builder's work, i.e. opening/closing of the floor ducts, reinforced concrete work, elevator shaft with underpinning, sewer work in the building, exposed masonry, concrete work in the existing building.
The construction project is the general renovation of the Valentin-Ickelsamer-Mittelschule in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Dinkelsbühler Straße 3, Fl.-Nr. 2232/7. The Valentin-Ickelsamer-Mittelschule with currently more than 400 students is housed in a listed building, which was originally built in 1975 and currently comprises 20 classes. The building is divided into three floors, the division is carried out as staggered floors with partial basement. A maximum length of approx. 80 m and a maximum width of approx. 72 m can be assumed. In view of demographic change and changing pedagogical school concepts, a holistically functioning school building is to be created, which meets the requirements for safety, environment, accessibility, low follow-up costs, pedagogy and cost-effectiveness in the long term and sustainably. The school building will be completely renovated in accordance with contemporary energy, functional, fire and sound insulation requirements. The concerns of accessibility are taken care of. Furthermore, the renovation includes a reorganization of fire protection, among other things by adapting the escape routes and additional external stairs. Directly adjacent to the Valentin-Ickelsamer Mittelschule in the east and north are the buildings of the Reichsstadtgymnasium. In the north-west, west and south-west are the school sports facilities and the sports hall. Further north, above an abandoned railway line, agricultural land is bordered. Below Dinkelsbühler Straße there is a general residential area to the south. To ensure that the renovation does not have to take place during ongoing operations, school operations will be outsourced to a container facility on the sports facilities within the school grounds that are in need of renovation during the construction period. This area is prepared with its own construction road and infrastructure (supply and disposal) so that the container facility can be operated independently of all other construction measures. The school transport takes place by buses via a separate stop directly on Dinkelsbühler Straße. The terrain rises sharply from the south, starting from Dinkelsbühler Straße, to the north. This results in the grit level arrangement in the existing building. The construction site is located about 2 km south of the city center, on the outskirts of Rothenburg, well connected via St 2419 and Dinkelsbühler Straße. The site is accessed by Dinkelsbühler Straße, which runs in the south-east. The existing foundation consists of reinforced concrete foundations with non-load-bearing reinforced concrete floor slabs. The rising construction consists of a reinforced concrete skeleton construction in a grid of 8.40/8.40 m, column cross-sections D=40 cm, reinforced concrete precast beams, reinforced concrete semi-precast ceilings, D=30 cm, and stiffening reinforced concrete or exposed masonry walls. The permissible surface load (traffic load) is:
- Geschoßdecken 3,5 KN/m2,
- Dachdecke 1,0 kN/m2
Sufficient load distribution is to be ensured by screed supports or by supporting the ceiling up to load-bearing foundations. In order not to impair the load-bearing capacity of the floor slabs, the removed materials must not be temporarily stored in the building, but must be removed immediately and disposed of in an orderly manner.
