The Armed Forces Logistics Base (LBA) operates a strategic Army Distribution Center (AVC) at the Thun site. This so-called central warehouse was built and put into operation in 1978. In 2009, the control systems, including the control cabinets, as well as the periphery of the existing logistics control systems were modernized.
The following sub-trades are affected by the renovation:
- Pallet high-bay warehouse (HBW)
- Pallet conveyor technology
- Replacement of warehouse management and material flow control
In addition, the necessary maintenance, service and servicing work for the AVC will be put out to tender again.
