Description:
Digital Medication, Care & Treatment Management

Klinikum Hochrhein GmbH plans to procure and introduce nursing and treatment documentation.

Founded in 1411, the Klinikum Hochrhein is today one of the largest hospitals on the Upper Rhine and in the South Baden region as a modern hospital for basic and regular care with 303 planned beds. A total of 12 disciplines work on an interdisciplinary basis to care for more than 12,500 patients.

The aim of the project, which is funded within the framework of the KHZG, is to design a continuous digital documentation process that includes not only care and treatment documentation but also media management.

The project includes the procurement of care and treatment documentation for the "normal" care areas. The intensive care areas and anaesthesia are supplied via a separate PDMS/AIMS system, which is procured in a separate tender. Another goal, in addition to nursing and treatment documentation and prescription, is the provision of digital medication management. Here, the focus is on ensuring individual and institutional drug therapy safety (AMTS), as well as establishing individualized and standardized drug therapy through digital medication management according to the gold standard of closed loop medication management (CLMM) required by law.

Since patient safety can only be ensured within the framework of the patient journey through complete, seamless and consistent documentation across system boundaries, the systems to be procured attach great importance to the possibility of integrating the systems into the established overall system and in particular into the ORBIS of the Dedalus HC and thus process efficiency.

A project-specific EVB IT system contract is concluded for procurement. The corresponding draft contract shall be attached to the tender documents for the initial tender and may be made the subject of the procurement negotiations by the contracting authority. Details are regulated in the application conditions for the offer phase.

A contract is awarded subject to the funding commitment of the State of Baden-Württemberg within the framework of funding pursuant to §14a Hospital Financing Act (KHG) in conjunction with §§19,20,22,23,4 Abs2 and 6 Abs. 1 Krankenhausstrukturfondsverordnung (KHSFV) and the guideline of the Federal Social Security Office (BAS) according to §21 Abs. 2 KHSFV (as of 03.05.2021, BAS funding guideline).
