This request for proposal is for the purchase a frame agreement for maritime contingency services for subsea cables for Norwegian grid companies at the coastal waters of Norway.

The Customer shall, on behalf of the member grid companies along the coast of Norway negotiate a contract for the delivery of 1. and 2. line of maritime contingency services regarding fault finding and identification on subsea cables, support of repairs of subsea cable on board on vessel, laying of replacement and new subsea cables, and regularly inspection of existing subsea cables at given intervals.

The contract shall also cover the companies demand for new subsea cable installations.

The estimated value of the contract is with a maximum of 500 million NOK. However, due to the nature of contingency and the lack of complete statistics of failure rates for existing installations, the estimated value is based on a best guess only.

The Customer shall on behalf on the member companies negotiate a frame agreement for the delivery of 1. and 2. line maritime contingency services for fault finding and repairs of subsea cables, including laying of subsea cables in existing or new locations.

The frame agreement may, including all time options, be valid for up to 8 years. The scope of the contract is estimated to a maximum of 500 million NOK.
