The national head teacher training shall be continued for a new 5 year period, from 2015 until 2020. The continuance of the head teacher education will basically have the same content and form as in the trial period (2009-2014), but with a few alterations due to experiences and recommendations achieved from the previous evaluation.

The continuance of the head teacher training shall be evaluated. The objective of the evaluation is to assess the quality, result and goal achievement of the head teacher training. This means that the evaluation shall provide knowledge of the quality of the training services, i.a. through the participants assessments and benefits of the training. Another objective of the evaluation is to obtain more knowledge of what is efficient management training, i.e. what provides a large ‘influence’ on management practice and the schools' operations. The insights from the evaluation shall be used as a basis for further development of the head teacher training.
