Renfrewshire Council has decided to enter into a Secure Productive Enterprise (SPE) Agreement with Microsoft with an expectation of the contract being in place by 01.4.2017. The Agreement will include all current corporate users — approximately 4 200. As well as all of the products included within the SPE the agreement with Microsoft will cover SQL licensing and Project/Visio licensing. The transformation of current services to the SPE is expected to take between 1 and 2 years. The Council would look to the support partner to help define a plan that allows us to meet this timeframe.

The Business Case that was collated to inform the Council decision is predicated on the retiral of a range of products that are currently in use prior to the expiry date of existing contracts.

Given the scale of this work the Council has decided to appoint an Implementation Support Partner to guide and support the Council through this transition.

This work will be done mainly from Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.
