Østfoldbadet shall be expanded with a new section with a 6 lane main pool of 25 x 10,5 metres, and changing room facilities with space for 160 persons, exercise room, social room and physiotherapy department. The development shall be adapted to access from the existing facilities. In addition, a new outdoor pool facility shall be built with an associated outdoor area facilitated for sunbeds, play areas and infrastructure for food and drink stalls. The anticipated start is current set for the change of the month May/June 2018. A total outdoor pool facility with a mechanical room in the basement is planned for completion before summer 2019 and the completion of an entire swimming pool facility in September 2019.

The project will be implemented as a main contract (K201 structural) with five side contracts (K300 Plumbing installation, K360 Ventilation, K400 Electrical Power, OFU contract automation, K380 Pool and water treatment).

Full normal operation of the existing bathing facilities is required, and the contractor must take this into account during the execution. It is planned to shut down the existing bathing facility for a week for necessary works to connect the new and the existing installations.
