Since 2012, the Main-Kinzig district, through its subsidiary, Breitband Main-Kinzig GmbH (client), has built an almost nationwide passive broadband/fiber optic network for VDSL with bandwidths between 25 and 50 Mbit/s in the district area.

After Deutsche Telekom's cable distributors were connected from 2013 to mid-2015, from 2016 to the beginning of 2019 additional white spots (courtyards, hamlets), all schools, town halls and properties in the district as well as buildings in industrial parks were connected to the existing network using FTTH (densification). Where Breitband Main-Kinzig GmbH is allowed to develop buildings with FTTH in accordance with the federal funding guidelines, a complete FTTH migration has been taking place in the MKK since 2022.

Further remote farms and hamlets (hereinafter referred to as farms) in the Main-Kinzig district are now to be connected with fibre optics (gigabit, FTTH into the building; Expansion cluster).

On this basis, the subject of the present tender is the award of (framework) supply contracts for the materials required by the client for the expansion in five (5) lots. For details, reference is made to the details of the lots. The (individual) retrieval of the required materials per lot takes place successively according to the progress of construction. An acceptance and/or volume commitment for the respective contractual partners is not given.

Companies wishing to offer the necessary services (providers) are requested to submit the information and evidence listed, as well as an offer, in accordance with this announcement by the expiry of the offer period specified in Section IV.2.2 in the publication.
