Conversion and extension of Grünewaldschule by a fourth class, group rooms, new kitchen and canteen as well as barrier-free
Development. The new building consists of a basement, ground floor and an upper floor, which in a part of the
Bridge building is trained. The "L-shaped" extension has a total length of approx. 83m. The attic height is about 9.68m.
The existing building as a whole is a listed building. The conversion and extension takes place during ongoing school operations. The
Time windows of the Bavarian school holidays must be taken into account in order to cope with the restrictions caused by conversion and renovation measures in the
Reduce inventory to a minimum.
The new building has two full storeys (ground floor, 1st floor) and is connected to the existing building in the basement. The new building will be constructed as a concrete structure, columns and slab supporting structure. Load-bearing walls and columns are generally made of exposed concrete. The façades of the new building will be constructed as wooden façades in front of them (separate trade). The foundation for the new two-storey building is laid on a continuous floor slab with reinforced foundation strips under the columns. The connections to the existing building will be made without increasing the load on the new building to the old building. For the most part, the measures in the existing building will be carried out without interfering with the load-bearing structure, new partition walls and suspended ceilings are planned using dry construction. Only in the basement hallway are new walls in masonry planned.
Four "backpack" extensions in timber construction are planned to create new group rooms directly adjacent to the existing building. A rear-ventilated wooden cladding with pre-greyed wood is planned for the new building and for the backpack attachments. A design joint between new and old is provided by a sheet metal façade. A sheet metal façade is also planned in the entrance area on the ground floor. Façade profiles made of folded sheet steel separate the wooden façade between the ground floor and the 1st floor and connect the wooden façade to the parapet.
