Sønderborg Affald A/S (Contracting Entity) is part of Sønderborg Forsyning A/S and is responsible for the collection and treatment of waste from households in Sønderborg municipality as well as for the operation of recycling centres in the municipality. As of mid-2022, the municipality has approximately 73,800 inhabitants spread over approximately 36,300 households.

The tender - subsequently referred to as the contract - includes the supply of plastic bags to be used by the households of the catchment area for the collection of food waste in the households, as well as the supply of plastic bags to be used for the collection of textiles in households.

The tender is divided into 2 sub-agreements on the purchase of plastic bags for food waste and plastic bags for textiles.
