The object of this award, specified in detail in the Special Specifications, is the execution of the urban waste management service, to be carried out at the association of the Municipalities of Magliano Romano, Mazzano Romano and Calcata, with reduced environmental impact from a life cycle perspective, pursuant to the Action Plan for the environmental sustainability of consumption in the public administration sector (PAN GPP) and the Decree of the Ministry of Ecological Transition (MITE) of 23 June 2022 "Minimum environmental criteria for the award of the municipal waste collection and transport service, cleaning and sweeping and other urban hygiene services, the supply of containers and bags for the collection of urban waste, the supply of vehicles, non-road mobile machinery and equipment for the collection and transport of waste and for street sweeping" (Official Gazette no. 182 of 5 August 2022).

By way of example, the following services are covered by the contract, as specified in detail in the project on which the tender is based, to which reference is made in full:

1) Separate collection and transport of municipal solid waste from civil settlements in general, as well as from commercial, craft and service activities within the territory concerned, with the home and with the "door to door" system of the following types of materials:

a) Organic fraction;

b) Paper and cardboard;

c) Plastic and Plastic Packaging and Cans (Aluminium, Iron and Steel Packaging);

d) Glass;

e) Non-recyclable (unsorted) dry waste;

The home collections referred to in points a) to e) above will be carried out according to a weekly calendar for the execution of the service (Eco Calendar) proposed by the Contractor and approved by the contracting authority.

2) Completion of the door-to-door service for Commercial Users only, through an additional weekly round;

3) Collection and transport of bulky waste and WEEE through a calendar of public deliveries by citizens;

4) Collection of RUP (hazardous municipal waste) such as expired medicines, batteries, etc.

5) Manual and mechanized sweeping;

6) Cleaning in case of events;

7) Collection and transport of waste in a differentiated manner from the market areas;

8) Removal of waste abandoned on the territory of the Municipalities, up to 1 cubic meter.

Also included in the awarding of the contract, again as specified in the Technical Report on which the tender is based:

• Supply to Domestic Users of bags for the collection of the plastic and organic fractions, and their distribution in the areas covered by the home service (with the exception of non-residents to whom the bags for collection will be delivered to be delivered to the mini eco islands);

• Availability of an operational headquarters, i.e. an area suitable for the storage of vehicles and equipment, as well as the needs of the staff;

• Opening of a call center (toll-free number) at the service of users;

• Supply, positioning and management (separate emptying, cleaning of areas and routine maintenance) of the computerized mini ecological island to be located in the municipal area of Calcata in Strada delle Vignole intersection with Via Mandolina;

• Management of the Municipal Collection Center 1 located in the municipal area of Mazzano.
