The Institute for Energy and Transport (IET) is one of the 7 scientific institutes of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), a Directorate-General of the European Commission (EC). The IET is located in Petten, Netherlands, and has a Renewable Energy Unit in Ispra, Italy. The IET has a multidisciplinary team of approximately 300 scientific, technical and support staff.

This public procurement procedure involves the transport by taxi of passengers involved in activities of the IET in Petten. The IET intends to enter into a contract for the provision of taxi services primarily to and from Petten, train stations (mainly Alkmaar), Schiphol Airport and other destinations. The target group is passengers (business people) involved in IET activities (employees and visitors).
