The purpose of the procurement is to cover the agency requirement for country wide IP based wide area network (WAN).The procurement is critical in respect to police activities. Therefore there is a requirement for high reliability and technical quality of the deliverables.

The procurement comprises a country wide IP network which includes the mainland and Svalbard.

The remote network shall service approximately 500 connection points. The locations are spread over the entire country, hereunder in sparsely populated areas. For PMT it is essential that the chosen supplier has access to a nationwide installation and service network.

The tender competition comprises a solution which is an expansion of the current remote network. The locations can be added to and/or removed during the agreement period.
