OIP, OSVP and PMVP have a legal responsibility for ensuring that their equipments are tolerable and As Low As is Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) to use and have the requisite safety and environmental management processes and documentation in place. This is a through-life activity that requires safety and environmental cases to be established and maintained for each equipment, then periodically reviewed and updated, and emergent issues managed.
