This Open House concerns the registration for the collection and processing of Annex I, IV, V and VI ship-generated waste in the North Sea Canal area, to which the cost recovery system (100% cost recovery system Annex V and at least 30% cost recovery system Annex I, VI and VI) applies.
The Open House is a registration procedure in which an agreement is concluded with all parties who register for this and who meet the set conditions. Only parties with whom an agreement has been concluded in accordance with the open house are eligible to invoice the costs incurred with regard to collection in accordance with the cost recovery system as included in the MARPOL convention.
The open house gives the possibility to admit during the entire term any provider who can provide the relevant services (collection of ship-generated waste) at the agreed conditions and rates (see guidance).
The Port Authority will not refuse providers who meet these minimum conditions. In order not to create obstacles to this, admission is constantly possible.
Providers who are admitted to the open house will be offered an agreement for signature. Participation, admission and signing of the agreement are not a guarantee of turnover. This is up to the provider itself.
